Wendi Norris has a lot going on: a new exhibition space designed by Gensler architects, a new engagement to Alex Tourk, and two new exhibitions about the metaphorical Pangea of new art and celebrating surrealism through sex, death and madness. When we spoke to her at the inauguration of her new all-white space on Jessie Street near SFMOMA, she admitted as much. “Basically, this is the ONLY night I could have this party because I’m on a plane for the next three weeks!”  So she was particularly pleased that the notorious SF permitting process allowed her to finish the space the day before, just in time to install the show and put on her signature leopard heels, and welcome colleagues, artificcionados, curators and real live artists to dig the new digs.
